The Elector ial Boundaries.
MORE GROWLING.
(Post's Correspondent.)
Hatklook, Maroh 20.
A meeting of delegates is being, held in Blenheim to-day to discuss the boundaries of the new Waimea-Picton electorate. As at present arranged it will extend from Pioton, including all the Sounds, Kaituna, Mahakipawa, Havelock, Pelorus, Wakamaiina, and Wakapuaka. Then, omitting Nelson and suburbs, it will embrace Wakefield, Belgrove, and Motueka. What common interests Picton has with Motueka may woll be asked. Amalgamation with Wairau would havo been an amalgamation, of interests. There is much disgust felt here ut the result of the Commissioners' labours.

Gisborne growls over the eleotoral boundaries.
'Xhore'll be growling all round you may be sure of that, but the people have only themselves to thank for the absurdities. Thoy foolishly allowed their representatives to voto for a reactionary, retrogressive measure, and they must lie on the bed they have made. I shall have something more to »f.y on the boundaries shortly. (Wellington "Speoial" Lyttelton Times.)
Regarding tho electoral boundaries and the reduction of members, I have not heard a murmur as yet. People, of coursa, are naturally satisfied at the smallor proportion of reduction in this district. The newspapers have as yet not deigned to comment on the fact that the wholo face of things electoral has uudergone a sweeping change. Among politicians thore is earnest talk over the " wiping out " of tho electorates of prominent members, such as Richard of Kumara, Dunstan of the natty buttonhole, and M'Kenzie the sturdy Hioland champion of the people's rights to the lands. Bets aro offered that Dunstan will follow his stretched boundaries into the country of Scobie, when he will squash that more economio ohampion; that Riohard of Kumam will sweep all the voters into his net as usual ; that M'Kenzie the sturdy will prove sturdier than any aspirant to the respectable adjective, But politicians who know the past, who have stood shoulder to ■houldor,or glass to glass with these doughty veterans, do not evince any disposition to take the odds.
(Manawatu Herald.)
The fato of the Manawatu Electorate ia much to bo regretted, as it has now been divided amongst its neighbours, and tho arrangements aro most inconvenient to allow of Mr tlacartkur obtaining a seat. We think his exclusion from Parliament would be most unfortunate, as he has had a lengthy experience in it, and last sesion was undoubtedlvaprominontfigure. Our member, Mr J. G. Wilson is to be congratulated in securing his old district, with the additions of others which will not outweigh the support lie has Boourcil.
