MYSTERIOUS MOVKMENTS OF THE
CHINESE CRUISERS.

Paris, Deo 15. — It is stated here that the Fj ench Government have decided to reinforce their fleet operating against the C hinese, and that several ironclads will be despatched 10 Admiral Courbet in January. ' Despatches have been leceived from Avimiral Courbet announcing that he has dislodged a strong force of Chinese troops vho were menacing the French position at Kelung, and that a hundred Chinese were killed during the action.
Hong Kong, Deo 16.— Several Chinese cruisers have left; Shanghai. Their destination is as yet unknown, and in view of the expeoted intention of the Chinese Governm ut to intercept reinforcements despatched to the French fleet, an ironclad has been ordered to convey the French transports from Singapore to Formosa.
