RULES AND REGULATIONS. Nominations for Handicaps and entrance for Maiden Race to be made to the Secretary on or before Saturday, the 13th December, at 9 p.m., at Mr H. N. Brown'a, Tobacconist, Victoria Avenue, the past two years' performances to accompany nominations. Handicaps to be declared on Saturday, 20th December. Entriea for remaining events will be received at the Secretary's office, on the ground, on the day of the Sports.— The races are open to all, and will be run under the rules of the Wanganui Caledonian Society. — Acceptancea must be made with the Secretary at least half an hour before the appointed time of starting. — The time for receiving entries and acceptances will be strictly adhered to. — No nominationa or entries will be received unless accompanied with the proper fees. — Competitors must appear in proper costume.— The decision of the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint, shall, iv all cases, be final.— Four competitors to start or no third prize, three or no second, two or no first.— Swings will be erected on different parta of the ground. — Booths, refreshment stalls, &c, will be provided, — Sports to commence at 11 o'clock sharp.— The Band of the Wanganui Rifles will be in attendance.
