FIRES AT NEW PLYMOUTH.
(per united press association.)
New Plymouth, March 7.
A fire occurred last evening at the Sash and Door Factory which, however, was quijkly suppressed. It originated from the flue of the boiler, which, being overheated, caused the floor of the second floor to become ignited. Ib was soon put out, and not much damage was done. An attempt to burn down che building at the corner of Devon and Brougham Streets was discovered yesterday afternoon. The fire had burnt itself out, or nothing could have saved the block.
