The butchers of Wanganui offer £5 5s for the best pen of fat cattle. The drapers of Wanganui offer £5 5s for the best ladies' hack in class 34, ridden by a lady. Mr John Duthie offers a Bentall's root cutter, value £8 Bs, for the best 2 or 3 year old bull which has not previously gained the first prize of the Association. Messrs Drummond and Alexander offer a prize, value £3 3s, to the exhibitor scoring most points in thoroughbred horses, classes 1 to 18, eligible to be classed A.B. and C. in the N.Z. Stud Book. Mr Waring Taylor offers a prize, value i £3 3s to the Exhibitor scoiung the most points in pigs, Messrs Holcroft and Granger offer a prize, value £2 2s, for the best pair of buggy horses, owned and driven by Exhibitor. Willis offers an oleograph, value £1 10s, to the exhibitor scoring the most points in bottled ale and porter. In the classes for horses, cattle, sheep, {rigs, and produce, the points will be calcuated as follows : — First prize, three points ; second prize, two points ; highly commended one point. Champion prizes, three points extra. LEAPING MATCH. Entrance Fee, 10s. A Leaping Match will take place at 3 p.m. Prizes— lst, £3 ; 2nd, £2. The jump will consist of a plain bar or pole, beginning at a height of 3 feet 6 inches, and rising 6 inches at each jump. Competitors allowed three trials at each rise of the bar. Baulk to count as trial. Entries for this match can be made with the Secretary up to 1 o'clock on the day of the match. RULES. 1. That the Society be the "Wanganui Agricultural and Pastoral Association." 2. That the object of the Association be to promote the improvement of Stock, and encourage the production of Agricultural Produce, and Improved Implements of Husbandry, by holding periodical Shows for their exhibition. 3. That the Association be under the management of a President, Vice-President, and a Committee of fifteen, elected at the Annual Meeting. Five to form a qiiorum. 4. That the President, or in his absence, I the Vice-President, or any five members of the Committee, shall have power to convene meetings for the transaction of business whenever they may consider it advisable. That minutes of any meetings shall be taken by the Secretary, read at succeeding meeting, and signed by the Chairman. 5. That the Committee may appoint a paid Secretary and Treasurer. 6. That the annual subscription of members shall be one guinea, payable on the Ist of August in each year, and that any person i subscribing the sum of £10 10s shall become a life member of the Association, and entitled to all privileges. 7. That accounts shall be made up and audited for submission to a general meeting in July, and that no member shall be entitled to vote at the annual meeting whose J subscription shall be in arrears. 8. It shall be competent for the Committo make such Bye-Laws from time to ] time as may be deemed necessary in carrying out their duties, j 9. The Committee shall have power to | expel any member whose conduct or fraud at any Exhibition, is brought under their notice and substantiated. 10.
