The Auckland Evening News of the 24th olt. says :—By the Brrival of the Wanderer from Coromandel this evening, we are informed on undoubted authority of the find, ing of another reef of rich gold-bearing quartz at Main Creek, Corom>*ndel, not far from R'ng'a driving dam. It is turning out well, specimens realising at the rate ot 9CO ounces per ton. Three or four claims have only as yet been tnken up. The discovery was immediately made known to Mr. Lawler, who gave protection to the prospectors. At the time our informant left, some nine or ten claims had heen taken up.
