VARSITY CONTESTS. VICTORY FOR ENGLISH TEAMS. WASHINGTON, Saturday. Cambridge and Oxford won their first track victory over Yale and Harvard on American soil by seven events to five. The half-mile race, the day’s final event, settled the issue. It was won by Captain Brown, who previously had won the quarter-mile. Captain Pennington also scored a double victory, winning the 100 yards and 220 vards.
