Messrs J. Ileffer and J. Mulvoy were elected life members of' the Masterton Harrier Club at the annual meeting last night. Mr Mulvey, who is on the staff of the Public Trust Office at Masterton, is expecting to be transferred shortly. Several speakers expressed appreciation of Mr Mulvey’s ,-services to the club arid, of his enthusiasm and sportsmanship as a harrier. Rev. G. T. Brown, until recently minister of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Palmerston North, and formerly of Masterton, has been travelling and studying in England and Scotland for some months. Last October he received a unanimous call to St. Columba’s, Brechin, Scotland, which he accepted, and was inducted in December. Mrs and Miss Margaret Brown have arrived and have joined hi min Brechin. A notice in last night’s Gazette announces the result of the triennial election of the elective members of the Government Railways Superannuation Fund Board as follows:—Mr Louis Vincent Carmine, representative ofll the first division North Island; MrAlames Stanley Roseoe, representative of first division South Island; Messrs Ernest John Dash, Michael Connelly, and Jacob Elliott, representatives of the second division.
