AIR PAGENT

AT HOOD AERODROME,

NEXT SATURDAY’S ATTRACTION,

Widespread interest is being taken in the North Island Air Pageant, to be held at the Hood Aerodrome, Masterton, next Saturday, and indications point to the fixture proving one of the most spectacular of its kind ever held in New Zealand. No effort has been enured bv the energetic sub-committees, and patrons are promised a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon’s entertainment. The first event will start at 9 a.m., and there will be a luncheon adjournment from 12 till 1.30 p.m. The first event on the afternoon’s programme will be a parade and fly-past of all aircraft. This display in itself should be well worth witnessing. Two large enclosures will be provided for the public, one on the north side and the other on the west side of the aerodrome. Members of the public who so desire may have passenger flights in various types of machines, both closed and open. An efficient loud-soeaker apparatus will be installed, and a running description will be broadcast of every event. This will give added interest to the competitions. An attractive souvenir programme will be on sale, covering the whole of the day’s programme and embodying much valuable information. The prices of admission will be: —Adults Is 6d children 6d, and cars Is. Light refreshments will be available on the grounds.
