RAGWORT MENACE
FARMERS FINED,
FOXTON, This Day. Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., made it clear in the Foxton Magistrate’s Court yesterday that ragwort must not be allowed to spread. A farmer was convicted for having allowed three pieces to grow on his 145acre farm. Others were fined amounts from 10s to £3 for similar offences.
Action was taken by tho Agricultural Department.—(P.A.)
