NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. TIMARTT, Monday. The New Zealand championship band contest opened this morning. The weather conditions were excellent, with every promise of continuing. There are a large number of visitors in town, and great interest is being dis played in the competitions. Results: — Euphonium solo: A. Ramsay (Q.A.0.), 93 points, 1; J.
