INFLUENZA RAGING

EPIDEMIC IN FRANCE,

PARIS, Friday.

It was revealed in the Chamber of Deputies that 50 soldiers had died by sth February of influenza, which is raging throughout France.

In the barracks at Reuilly alone there were 800 cases, and 170 soldiers and sailors are in Cherbourg Hospital. Many schools are closed owing to the epidemic. Scarcely a family in Paris has escaped, though the attacks are generally mild.
