The South Canterbury Jockey Club’s winter meeting concluded to-day under favourable weather conditions. The track was in good condition. The attendance was considerably affected by the stampede south to the football test. Results: —

At the monthly meeting of the stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Club applications for trainers’ licenses were received from P. E. Hazelman and L. Crawford. An application for a jockey’s license was held over.
