WELLINGTON - SALES. (Special to “'Bally Times. '■) WELLIXGTOX, Friday. At to-day’s hides and skins sales there were small catalogues of hides, tallow and sheep skins. The market for sheep skins was firm. Ox and cow hides were very firm, and calf equalled the recent high levels. The tallow demand continued quiet. The following prices were recorded: —Halfbred, 12-jd to 153 d; crossbred,' fine, 33id to ,15d; medium, 113 d to 14d; short wools, 9d to 123 d; lambs, 9d to 141 d; polt-s, 7d to lOjd; salteds, Cs Gd to 11s 8d; pelts, Is fid to 4s fid; lambs, 2s to 4s 3d. Hides: Ox, heaty, 11 5-Sd to 12 5-8 d; medium, 11 5-Sd to 12 7-Scl; light, 11 7-Sd to 12Jd; cow, heavy, 11 5-Sd to 12 7-8 d; medium, 12d to lid; light, 103 d to 133 d; bull, 4-]d to 83d; yearlings, 9]d to 14 1-Sd; calf, 13d to 16 l-Bd. Tallow: In casks, 21s to 235; in tins, ISs to 245.
