MASTERTON. Mr-E. Brown reports as follows: ' 16th December: —Barograph 29.55, unsteady; shade temperature, max. 53.2, min. -11.2; terr. 35.0; rainfall 33 points; bright sunshine 36 minutes. SOLWAY. Mr 11. M. Boddington reports that 30 points of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 o’clock this morning. WEATHER FORECAST. WELLINGTON (9 a.m. to-day) The indications arc for southerly winds moderate to strong. The weather will probably prove cold and showery. The barometer is rising slowly.
