RACING.
The Hawk has been nominated for the New Year meeting of the Hawke s Bay Jockey Club. A. E. Ellis has purchased a property at Riccarton, and is now riding work there daily. He is to be present at the Oamaru meeting on Saturday next, and will confine his riding engagements during tho Christmas racing to the Manawatu, Wairarapa, and 'Marton meetings.
