ST. MATTHEW’S SUNDAY SCHOOL.

DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES. There was a large attendance of parents and scholars at the annual prizegiving ceremony of St. Matthew s Sunday School, which "took place last evening in the Parish Hall. The early part of the evening was devoted to a concert programme given by the scholars, the items for which were announced b.\ the Rev. E. McLcvic. At an appropriate interval, Father -Christmas, complete with robe and board, arrived with the prizes, which were distributed by the Rev. WE Bullock, who, in the course of his remarks, thanked the Superintendent (Mr G. Hyde) and the teachers for their .services during the year. The programme was as follows: Violin solo, Edward Buekton; piano duet, Myrtle and Thelma Martin; kindergarten children’s songs; pianoforte solo, Beryl Se-andrett; recitation, Douglas Harte; infants’ songs; piano solo, Frank Gray; sketch by the Upper Girls; piano duct, Xesta Hope .and Louise Armstrong; humorous recitation, Albert McWhinnio and Edward Buclcton; piano solo, 'llermes Brenklcj ; infants good-night song; quartette, “The Swallow's Farewell,” by scholars; folk dancing by the girls; Irish jig, Berna Stimpson.
