FOR WOMAN THIEF. CONVERSION OF MOTOR-CAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Catherine Donovan pleaded guilty to the unlawful conversion of a motor-car, and the theft of meat valued at £l/16/lld, both the property of Christopher Pinnock. The police story was that accused asked a man to drive her to town, saying that the car belonged to her, and he did so. She took the meat with her into a house, and did not return. Meanwhile, the owner of the car appeared on the scene. Accused was sentenced to 3 months’ imprisonment for the conversion of the motor-car, and w r as convicted and discharged for theft of the meat.
