KILLED BY MOTORIST.
A CYCLIST’S'DEATH.
•CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER
(By Telegraph —-Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Monday.
At the conclusion of the inquest on the deatli of Frederick Witty, who i\as killed on March Bth, the Coroner returned a verdict tliat deceased met his death through being run over by a car driven by John Guy Dennison.
Dennison is the engineer engaged by the Southland County Council to supervise the work of bitumenising the north road. The evidence showed that the deceased, who was riding a bicycle, had been struck from behind and thrown.
Dennison has been arrested on a charge of manslaughter. Bail was allowed, and lie was remanded.
