DIRECT ACTION.

(Received Wednesday, 11.50 a.m.)

LONDON, Tuesday

Interviewed, Mr William Watson, a member of the Shop Stewards' National Administrative Council, said: "The strikes in Britain are the first step towards the socialisation of all industries and the establishment of revolutionary committees similar to those in Russia.

"We sympathise with the Bolsheviks'" philosophy and hope to enter a revolutionary congress which will be called by Lenin.

"We represent 50 per cent- of British labourers. We are Direct Actionists. I would not be surprised to see violence used in England."
