WAIRARAPA SOLDIERS' MEMORIAL. Sports Ground. (To bo Registered under the Incorporated Societies' Act, 1908). A COMMITTEE Representative of the SPOBTS BODIES IN WAIEAEAPA have acquired, for the purpose, of a SPORTS GROUND, 12_ acres of the OLD SHOWGROUNDS, comprising the playing area and the high ground forming a natural grandstand, as a lasting Memorial to Fallen Wairarapa Soldiers. The Ground will provide a good i-mile Track, at least two Football grounds, and an excellent Cricket Ground.. The sum of ,£SOOO is required to complete the Purchase, Fence, Plant, Improve and Lay-out the Grounds. Also to erect Suitable buildings and Memorial Tablet. This interests all persons concerned in tho welfare of the Young Generation of Wairarapa. What more lasting, useful or appropriate Memorial could he provided for our Fallen Heroes, all of whom have been the Empire's Sportsmen. Let us play the game and provide the Memorial for their Children. The Sportsmen will provide the income to keep the grounds in order. The Public are asked to provide the Capital (£5000) required.
