DUNEDIN, Friday.

In the Balclutha district the floods still wear an ominous aspect, though the waters are not increasing to any extent. The pressure on the protective bank is very severe, and persistent drizzling rain is not helping the sodden banks. At Kaitangata, where a, very large quantity of water has accumulated, the level of the Hood showed no diminution to-day.
