Heavy lighting is raging. Sergy was taken and re-taken four times, and ia now in French hands. The Fourth Prussian Guards attacked the Americans south of Sergy. Tho Americans stopped four assaults doad, with heavy losses. The French surrounded Buzancy, but wore unable to hold it. Correspondents ou the French front state that infantry, cavalry aud tanks «a Sunday followed, up the artillery's destructive work and cleared the enemy out of Fcre-eu-Tardenois towards- tho north-east, sifter hand-to-hand encounters. . The enemy's destruction of bridges on. tho Ourcq has not greatly delayed the Fronch, who forded the shallow stream at several points. The French are proceeding cautiously and aro not wasting men. Tho cavalry have located Germans at .Bois-Meunicre, where it is anticipated thoy will resist strongly.
