BATTLE LASTED TEN HOURS

Latest telegrams show that the firing commenced at 4 o'clock on Wednesday. The maximum height of the battle was between six and eight o'clock, and it ceased at ten. The battle apparently commenced eight miles south-west of Stavenger, and moved southerly.
