WAS IT SUICIDE ?

Press Association—Electric Telegraph— Copyright (Received Wednesday, at 11 a.m.) LONDON, Tuesday. .1 oiner, Trevanion's butler, was closely examined concerning a bottle of hock which Trevanion drank in Roe's presence immediately prior to his becoming unconscious.
.Trevanion's mother stated in evidence that she was on good terms with her son. She warned him about giving Roc money. When she reached Brighton, Roe objected to an inquest. He claimed the ownership of the flat, and said ho would put her out if she made any fuss. He locked the bedroom and pocketed the key. ; Later, Roe desired to enter, and she accompanied him. Roe looked at something, and after Roe was asleep she searched the death-room alone, and found a man 's handkerchief (it was not her sou's) with an empty cachet beneath. It had been opened with a pin or knife. She did not believe her son died by his own hand. Roe's evidence will he taken on Thursday.
