HEAVY POLLING.
SOCIALISTS GAIN MANY SEATS.

BERLIN, Sunday.' The polling at the elections was heavy.
The Socialists hold five seats in Berlin, and expect, after the second ballot,' to unseat a sixth from the Radicals.
Herrs Bebel (leader of the Socialists), Ledebour, Zudeal, David Vallmar, and Dr Frank were triumphantly re-elected, and Herr Bersuin wrested Breslan West from the Radicals.
The latter lost Stettin town, Kocuigsberg town, Zittan and Bremen to the Socialists.
Other Socialist victories were Magdeburg, Raudow, Holzlinden, and the First Division of Brunswick Centre.
The Radicals lost Riechenback and Neerode to the Socialists, and the National Liberals lost Kirchberg, Dobeln, Aundberg Division of Saxony, Isslangen, Darnistadt West, and Havelland to tho Socialists.
The latter have already regained one third of their losses of 1907.
Altogether they have nineteen gains and two losses. All. three seats in Hamburg were retained.
Forty-nine of the Centre Party, forty-five Socialists, nine Conservatives, eight Poles, two of tho Imperial Party, aud oue National Liberal have been definitely elected.
