"MISS HOOK OF HOLLAND."

To-night the Masterton jiublic will have its first and only opportunity during the present season of seeing the celebrated Dutch musical comedy, "Miss Hook of Holland." Iv presenting this attraction the management have been put to an enormous outlay, and if their efforts to cater for the public are supported by their many patrons, it is their intention to carry out arrangements already made with Sir' Rupert Clarke, Meyuell aud Guuu. to produce in the Dominion the very latest London successes. "Miss Hook of Holland" has some charming numbers, the most prominent being the "Cheese Chorus" by the full strength of the Company; "Bottles," a chorus of male voices (unaccompanied), ana "House of Hook," concerted number. The above were particularly singled out from the numerous choruses by the Bulletin and Australasian as being the finest heard on the colonial stage. Captivating duets in the piece are "The Sleepy Canal," by Sally aud the Bandmaster; "Who Invented Work?" sung by Slinks, and the lazy loafers; "The Lady, and the Cart," an extremely diverting number by Policeman Slinks. Minna aud Schnapps, au old market woman, with eccentric dance; "Pink Petti From Peter," sung by Minna; "Little Wooden Shoes," by Sally and Chorus. The "Orphans' Chorus," with dance, is an extremely quaint number. The scenery, dressing and mechanical effects and properties will be on the same extensive scale as characterised the performances in Melbourne and i Sydney. To-night will be absolutely the only production of "Miss Hook" in Masterton.
