CASE FOR THE PROSECUTION.

Mr R. H. Bodkin, prosecuting on behalf of the Public Prosecutor, explained that Knowleden was charged with taking documents containing secret information, but uot with imparting it to auyone else. Eighty documents aud instruments were found at his domicile. He was for upwards of two years connected with the wireless telegraphing school and was very clever. He was seen in Juue copying ■wireless plans aud was cautioned. He explained that the copies were meant to help hitn iv preparing for au examination and the explauatiou was considered reasonably satisfactory, but notices prohibiting similar conduct were posted on the ship. Three detectors in his possession coutaiued importjfcjfe improvements, the results of the Vernon's officers' experiments. The drawings constituted a record of the latest discoveries.
