FOOTBALL.
It has been decided oy the Wairarapa Union that the team to meet the Bush on Saturday will play in black jerseys. All members of the Mastertou Club willing to place their .■jerseys at the disposal of the team are asked to leave them with the secretary.
The Albion v. Rover senior teams met on the Showgrounds yesterday, before a good attendance of the public. The Rovers gained an easy victory by 19 points to nil. Mr X McKenzie was referee.
At Carterton, yesterday, the Albion and Rover juniors met, the former winning by 8 points to 3. Owing to the Dalefiekl Glub being unable to put a team into the field tomorrow, a match will be played between the Red Star 111 and Masterfcon 111.
The Wairarapa and Bush teams will meet o"u the Showgrouuds to-morrow, aud a good exhibition of football should be the result. More than usual interest attaches to the result, as from the players taking part will be selected the team to play against the AngloWelsh team in Masterlou on Saturday week.
The following will represent Masterton 111. against Dalefield, at Mastertou, to-morrow :—Simousou, Pauling, Hauley, Osmau, Yates, Barr, Dixon, Munn, Billiugtou, Dean, Rayuer, McHattie, Catt, Fly, Wellington. Emergency—Back, Braggins; forward, Milne.
The following third-class fixtures have beeu drawn up by the Wairarapa Rugby Union: —
May 16th—Mastertou v. Dalefield, at Masterton. Red Star v bye.
May 30th—Dalefield v. Red Star, at Dalefield. Mastertou a bye. June 6th.—Red Star v. Masterton, at Mastertou. Dalefield a bye.
