The latest reports from the flooded districts states that the water is receding.

At Tarn worth, iv the main street, tho water was waist dee]), aud much damage has been done to busiuoss premises. The caretaker of tho showrgouud and his family were rescued from the roof of their house.

A youth named Ponsouby was drowned while attempting to swim the Peel river.

Round about Boggabri, Narrabri, Guiiuedah, aud Weewa, wide areas of crops are submerged. (These towns are about 280 miles north-west of Sydney). It is feared much damage has resulted, aud serious losses of stock are reported

Tho Narrabri cemetory is uudei water aud a funeral was blocked.

The railway for miles is flooded. There have beeu many wash-aways and the railway service is dislocated. Farmers along the lower Manning river will lose heavily.

The Stanford Merchyr c dliory at Kurrikurri was flooded, aud work was stopped.
