London Markets.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cablegrams from their London ollice, dated 28th inst: —
" Since our last telegram tallow in general is higher by 3d to Gd per cvvt. Since our last telegram Danish butter is higher by 4 kroner (about 4s Gd) per cwt. We quote:
Light weights, New Zealand mutton, Canterbury crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, f.a.q., 4!d to 4;jd. North Island mutton, crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, f.a.q., Id per lb; other New Zealand mutton, North Island, crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, f.a.q., M,d to 3;|d. Pight weights, New Zealand lamb, prime Canterbury, s:,'d, North Island, s;|d to s°d. Heavy weights, North Island lamb, 4;jd to sd. Now Zealand beef, ox hinds, 180-220 lbs, f.a.q., 3.|d to .'if;d ;ox fores, 2.jd to 2j!d per lb. The slate of business in general is unfavourably affected by prolonged warm weather."
