THE DRINK CURSE.

The following letter appears in the Levin Farmer:—"lf anything will appoal to the people of Woraroa to stop the drink traffic in this district, I think tho spectacle of young lads staggering about drunk in a public place ought to do it. It is a shameful sight for any community, and this business is ruining the health and prospects of many young men—yes, and of lads about 17 or 18 years of age. It is these sights, and the reflections that the trade is conducted in a disgraceful manner, that will work up the No-License vote. Perhaps 'tis well that these things occur now, because it will open blind eyes."
