Messrs Lowes and lorns, Ltd., report as follows with regard to their stock sale at Masterton, yesterday : —Wβ submitted a catalogue in excess of advertised numbers in both sheep and cattle. Sheep sold freely all through under the hammer, only one pen being passed in, which sold, immediately afterwards, th,us enab'ling'us to effect a total clearance, at good round prices. Cattle alsq elicited gpo4 competition, and all but a few odd cows were disposed of. Pat ewes made from 129 9d to 13s 4d; forward ewes, 11s to 11s 7d; ewes in lamb, 9a 3d to lls 7d ; cull ewes, 5s sd; good lambs, 7s 9d to 8s 10d; cull wethers, 10a 6d; good stores, 12s; fat bullocks, £9 15s to £10; fat cows, £6 2s 6d to £6 12s 6d; forward cows, to £5 ; rising 2-year steers, £4 18s 6d; full-grown bullocks, £6 10s to £7 12s 6d; 18-month steers, £3 5s to £3 15s; heifers in calf, MS 10a to £5 ss.
