I am glad to hear that Mr D. E. Parton has been persuaded to re-consider his intention of resigning the Secretaryship of tho Masterton Football Club. Tho present flourishing state of the Mastcrton Club is practically duo to Mr Parton, and the Club can ill-afford to lose such a capable officer. At Carterton, yesterday, the Thursday Sonior "reps" defeated the Saturday Junior "reps" by seven points to six. Cook and Workman scored tries for tho Juniors, while J. O'Lcary scored for tho Seniors, and I. O'Connor kicked a goal from a mark. During tho game J. Wickens, of the Thursday " reps," had tho misfortune to break his leg. A scratch Mastorton team defeated a team of tho To Ore Ore Maoris, on the Park Oval, yesterday afternoon, by nine points to nil. Jackson scored a tryiL t the winnors, while Webb and MsWH kicked penalty goals. ; Tho following team will roprcsont the Masterton School against tho Greytown School at Masterton to-morrow: —Flaws, Taylor. Hooper, Moore, V. Williams, Iggulden, White, Coradinc, Coyle, Smith, Billington, Pauling, Dorset (captain), Keith, Lang. Tho Itiflo Cadets defeated tho Masterton School yesterday by ten throo.
