PRESENTATION TO MR GURR.
To the Editor of the Waibarapa Dam. July 12th. .' Sir,—Referring to the full and interesting report in youi' issue of to-day of. the presentation ,to Mr Gurr, and the speeches made on- the occasion; you will perhaps allow me, as an ex-Secretary of the School Committee, and as having been personally and intimately known.to Mr and. Mrs Gurr and their family, to express my tull sympathy with the object and feelings of the meeting. I should not, however, have troubled you for this purpose only, but that I wish to suggest to the members of the Anglican Church at Featherston that some exhibition of gratitude should be made by them (and which I here beg to make personally) to Mr Gurr, oil his departure, for his unwearying and zealous devotion to his duties as lay-reader in. the Church. : •■;• I.write in ignorance as to whether any movement of the kind has been already made.
