HORRIBLE MURDER BY A RUSSIAN PRIEST.
A terrible murder with robbery lias been lately reported from Ekaterinosav. A soldier just returned from the theatre of war had gone to the village of Karnauchowka While there he was asked to be godfather to a child about to be baptised. The pope who performed the rite was a man of about GO years of age, and the soldier presented him with a gold piece. Ascertaining that the soldier had more gold pieces, which lie carried with him, the priest and his deacon waylaid the soldier in a wood, felled him to the earth,and literally gnawed his throat in the absence of weapons sufficiently homicidal. Having robbed him, they left him by the wayside, convinced that he was dead or dying and could tell no tales, but some peasants coining up shortly afterwards, found the unfortunate man still living, and lie was able before his death to indicate clearly who wore his assassins. They are now in the hands of the police,
