Otico Billy which had been readin that poetry about the boo and the ant, and sech things kep a sayin' it over til every body gut sick heavin' it, so one morning wen ho come in the purler and bust out with : " How doth the litttle bizzy bee !" my father he said: " William that inseok has past a tolibly cnmftable nite, and is a doin' as well as cude be expected. It is very good of yure master to send you to inquire so often, but its a nuwsnnce, all the same, so I'le jest giv you a answer plain omiff to last a "week." Weil my father said that he picked up the (ire poker and made like lie was goin' to flint; it, but Billy 'nip nvctl the shining hour by dahiug'thru tho door. Thero was a fellow once which was a newspaper writer against momwkickle institutions in the " Alta," and ho was visitin, a friend which had a hive of bees, and his friend tolo him the bees had a queen, wich was a big fat beo and dident hay to work for a livin.' So the fellow waited till lie got a good chance, no body around, and lie give the hive a spitofle kick and run, And the last, that his friend soo of that statesman he was il.incin' on top of a distant hil, and looked like lie had a hundred arms and legs, and there was a bright glory all round him, which was the sunshine on them bees 1 One time there was a man brofc his bee hive in the houso cos it was a colo nite, and set it fore the fire in the. room wore he slep. When he woke up in the mornin' the bees was all over the ilore, and the wols, and the chairs, and the bed, and every were, spred out like butter on bred. And they was into his close too, and his boots was on the other side the room, and Siineby some which was inside the bed they begin to explore his two legs. So he jest shot up his eyes, ond said; " It's too late for action,, and my feel is too deep for utter. But pretty soon the other folks in the house waw woke bo sech dro-e noise that one yeiled " Feir!" and a other said, " Them dogs has got together agin ?■' and' a other said " If the house is a quarter mil it ot to be ben put up stronger to stand the the stompin 1" But it was only that bee fellow takin' action and utterin' his feel at the same time,
Last summer our dog Tomer, that's the one died, was lyin' in the sun, tryin' to ;'it sum sleep, but the flics was that bad lie cudent, cos he had to cetch 'em; but bimeby a bee lit on his head and wocked about lihc the dogs was hisn. Towser he held his lied real stil, and wen thobee was ■.pin' to the end of his no se be wank his eye at me, like sayin'; lie thinks line a lily of the valley wieh isn't open yet. Jut wait till I blossom and you will see, good fun."
And share a miff Towser opensd his mowtli very so, so as not to friten the bee, and the bee went inside Towser's niowtli. Then Towser he sliet his eyes dreamy, and his mowtli too, and begin to make a peacelle'smile, wen the bee up md stung him, and you never seen a lily of the valley nvike such a circus performance in all yure life.
