WAIMATE POST OFFICE.
CHRISTMAS AND NEW A’EAR HOLIDAYS. Friday, 24th December.—A delivery of all correspondence will be made at the counter, 7 p.m bo 8 p.m. Saturday, 25 th. December (Christmas Day).—A close holiday, no mails despatched or received. Monday, 27th December (Boxing Day).—Open for telegraph business only, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.; double rates charged. All outward mails close 7.30 a.m. Street receiving boxes cleared 6.30 a m. No delivery of correspondence by the postman or over the Counter. Friday, 31st December. —In addition to the usual postmen’s deliveries a further delivery qf all correspondence will be arranged at the counter from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Ist January (New Year’s Day).—Open for telegraph business only 9 a.m. to, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Double rates). All outward mails close 7.30 a.m. Street receiving boxes cleared 6.30 a.m.
The telephone exchange will be open continuously.
