CRICKET.
WAIMATE v. WILLOWBRIDGE. On Victoria Park yesterday Waimate met and defeated the Willowbridge team after an enjoyable, friendly game. Batting first, Waimate put together the respectable total of 180 for five wickets, the innings being then declared closed. Willowbridge, batting sixteen men, were all out for 51, which left Waimate victorious by five wiekets and 129 runs. A pleasing feature of the game was the good batting form shown by Tweedy, Flanagan and Miller, of Waimate, all of whom played good cricket for their runs. The following were the scores:— WAIMATE.
