SYDNEY, June 23. The Tennis Association has been notified by the English Association that they are agreeable to Melbourne a. the venue for the challenge round cf tho Davis Cup, but desire it to be played in December instead of November, as suggested by the Australasian Association. Franco and America have already agreed to Melbourne. Tho request to alter the date is likely to hamper tho management in making the necessary arrangements.
