CIRCULAR LETTER TO THE PRESS OF NEW ZEALAND.
Dear Sir, —In regard to the move-' incut which lias been set on foot by the Ladies of the Timaru Branch of the Navy League to present a silk ensign and Union Jock to “H.M.S. New Zealand” when she visits the Dominion in January next, may we ask the courtesy of your assistance in this endeavour.
The idea of the promoters is to make t’nc presentation widely representative of ‘‘The Women of New Zealand,” and in order to give everybody the opportunity cf identify ing tfco.-ue-el;es with tho movement Lie general subscription is used at ore shilling.
