BREACH OF THE LICENSING LAWS,

Frank Ma.bolland, of the Bower Hotel Burwood, was charged with supplying liquor to two men, not lodgers, and not travellers.

The men each gave a version "of iheir business at tbe hotel and declared no money passed. One was arrested later in the day for drunkenness but stated he was sober when he left Mulholland's.

The Magistrate said he did not believe tbe men's story, but in the face of recent decisions there was not sufficient evidence to convict.
