The sum of £10,923 was put through the machine, vrh;ch is just about £4000 more than put through the eecod day last year. The total for the meeting was £22,191, which }s a record for the Wellington Club. The following are tho results :— Hutt Handicap — Paladin, 1 ; First Blood, 2 ; Tauhei, 3. All started but C&stashore and Red Lancer. Won easily Jjy hslf a length. Time lmin 42 4-sth ieca. Div£3 19s. St L»gor— Altair, 1 ; Djin Djin, 2 ; Tigress, 3. Also started— Conspirer and |{er.tge. Altair led all the way and won
easily by a length and a half in 3min 9sec3. Div £1 53. Haok Welter— Ruby Twist, t; Sirocco, Z ; Cornea, 3. Scratched— Taplow and Cavendish. Won. by a head in 2rain If sees. Div £2 Is. Autumn Handicap — Battleaxe, 1 ; Paladin, 2 ; Castashore, 3. All started. Won by half a length in 2min 11 2 sth sees. Div £3 €3. Hurdle Handicap — Wbangaroa, 1 ; Kauri Gum, 2 ; Tataramoa, 3. All started' Won in a canter in 2min 52£sec9. Div £18s. Suburban Handicap —Tigress, I; Sylvia Park, 2 ; Okoari, 3. Scratched— First Blood, Ideal, Miller, Ngaparu, and Paliver. A good race. Won by 2 lengths in lmin 29 2-sth sees. Div £16 18s. Hack Flying— Singleshot, 1 ; Ngatahura, 2; In tbe Swiui, 3. All started . Won easily in lmin 17seos. Div £7 17s.
