Thursday, Aug 30. [Before D. Maofarlane,, Esq., S.M.] APPLICATIONS M. J. Hall, residence site, Rimu. Mr Gibson for applicant. Objected to by Evan Williams and the Rimu Miners' Association. The Warden said that since thje last sitting he had visited the ground. Mr Gibsou said Mrs Hall was perfectly satisfied to obtain the grant subject to the requirements of the mining community, if wanted for mining purposes. — Granted until the ground is wanted for bonafide mining purposes. H Wardrobe and Party for deviation of water race. Mr Park appeared for applicants. Objected toby T.E. Cox and Borkin and Party. The Warden said he had visited the ground since last meeting and would give a right for the race to cross the two claims at the race-owners risk, the cliiin-owners to give one week's notice of removal if found to interfere Avith their working. Lyes, special site for paddock, Kanieri township — Granted. C. Hill, tail-race, right-hand branch, Kanieri — Granted. Henry Riley, tail-race and water-race, right-hand branch, Kanieri — Granted. Thomas Surgenor and W. Surgenor, extended claim, Back Creek— Granted. James Reynolds, water-race, Kanieri river.— Objected to by J. W. LyesWithdrawn. James Reynolds, special site and tailrace, Kanieri — Granted. Tho Court then closed.
