Notices BOROUGH OP HOKITIKA NOTICE IS HBEEBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Borough Council on FRIDAY, the 10th July, 1891, to make and levy a GENERAL KATE of ONE SHILLING and THBEE PENCE in the £ on the rateable annual value of propery on the rate roll of the Borough of Hokitika. The period for which such rate is made la for the year ending 31afc March, 1892, the said rate to be payable in one sum at the Town Clerk'B Office, Kevell Street, on the 22nd day of JULY, 1891. And notice is further given that an estimate of the proposed expenditure, as at foot, has been approved by the Borough Council, and the rate book is now open for inspection at the Town Clerk's Office: Estimate of Expenditube Maintenance of streets and drains £650 Lighting Btreets ... „, 150 Fire prevention ... .„ 100 £900 No aum being available for the above purposes and ihe total value of property appearing on the valuation roll for the Borough amounting to the aum of £14401 a rate of one shilling and three pence in the £ ia necessary to raise the required amount.
