The Brewery is a Three gtprey buildiDg, and i 8 about 50 feet in width by 120 feet in dtpth, It ip fitted with al2 Horse-power Steam Engine and Vertical Bpjier (nearly new), a Ppuble Action Pump, supplied by a never failing supply of splendid water. The Brewery is fitted >ydth all Modern Appliances, Patent Refrigerator apd Mashing Machine. The L'quoTand^prt Tuns are fitted with large copper worms ; most of the tups are new- Steam'fs 'applied for beating liquor and steaming casfcs, and the Machinery is fitted to save as much labor as possible. There is a large Stable and Six 400 G ajjon Tanks for raiq water. The Yard is paved so that it is always in a cle^n condition ; the Praipage of the Brewery is also perfect The $ta)|; Hopse w*b desipned by Mr Armson and has a very handsome frontage and is a very substantial building ; the Majting floor and Store Koom above is pO feet wide by 120 fn depth. ; the wh,ole is lined throughout. The Steep has a capncjty to hold 200 bushels. The Kiln is built of stone and brick ; the Kiln floor is lajd with perforated caef; iroq plates. This building being iq the Centre and Best Street in the town, is well adapted for any large Manufactory.

The Cottage adjoining the Malt House is now occupied by Mr Pizzey j itcontain.B a Conservatory, large Hgll, Silling, Dining and Four Bedrooms, Pantry Kitchen, Wash House, Bath Boom, and Green House at the back. 'I he two Stores are well adapted for any large Business. The Stable in Tancred Street has 5 Stalls, Loose Box, Harness Boom, and large Loft above. These Properties are well adapted for a Co-operative Brewery and Malf House, and the Stores for other business trades that would work well with the Brewery. Tpi Properties are opposite to one another, and could therefore he worked under ohe inspector. There is every reason to believe that Hokitika has seen its worst days. Large returns are being obtained from sluicing claims, and reefs with splendid prospects are being opened at Cedar Creek, Donnelly's, and Taipo. The prospects of the William Tell claim are very good ; tbe machinery is now in course of erecion, and the claims adjoining are petting good pro.'pects. Machinery is also being erected at the Taipo. The Mont 'd Or sluicing claim is paying large monthly dividend?, and there are many other valuable claims in tbe Boss district. Old Kumara still retains its good reputation. New sluicing claims are being started besides prospecting and other miniDg venture.?.
