THE STANMORE ELECTION.
Cheistchubch, July 11.
There was great excitement over the Stanmore election, vehicles of every kind flying about in hot haste. The result was not declared until 8 o'clock, when Pilliet was found to be in by a substantial majority. The numbers were:— Pilliet, 469 ; Richardson, 345 ; Cowlishaw, 244.
