ENGLAND PROTESTING.
London, January 12. The Russians took eight thousand prisoners and ninety guns at the °urrender of Kissa. Antwairi surrendered last Thursday with twenty-eight thousand men, and one thousand and ninety-two guns. The town of Shipka has also capitulated. It is probable that Adrianople will be abandoned, and Turks retreat on lines to Ekmedcha. The Civil Government of Adrianople has removed to Rodasta. It is alleged, Russia military authorities are averse to nn armistice. A proposal having in view the occupation of Adrianople and Gtallipolis, England protested against the nonfulfilment of the promise, that an order be sent to the Russian CommanJer-ia-Chief to treat for an armistice withou previous stipulation. This beginning of intrigue will involve England in war. Three Cabinet Councils have been held this week. ; A change of Minister for Greece is ■probable."
