HANSEN'S SWEEP
(To tlie Editor.)
Sir, — I beg to urge that this sweep has a right to be drawn over again, for the following reasons : — Ist. No place of drawing was advertised. The drawing was conducted by the light of a few tallow candles and there were very few of the public aware that it was taking place. The place of drawing was a dingy lumber room, and no one could see what was going on. 2nd. No committee was elected by the shareholders, whose money it was tbat was being disposed of, and who therefore had a right to direct the arrangements, I believe the persons who signed the list of drawing described themselves as volunteer committeemen.
3rd. The mistakes that took place when the so called drawing did take place were rather remarkable, and of themselves were sufficient to warrant the proceedings being commenced aud carried out again under altogether diflerent mauiigemeut.
I am, &c, A Shareholder.
