FIRST ADVANCE PARTY OF K FORCE WILL LEAVE TODAY
WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA).— The first advance parly of K Force is leaving Wellington tomorrow afternoon on the freighter Ganges. The ship, which has been loading equipment for the entire force, is leaving ahead of schedule. Under the command of Captain H. Dudfield, the first advance party consists of one other officer and ten other ranks. The second party, comprising five officers, including the force commander, Brigadier R. S. Park, C.8.E., an 17 other ranks, will leave Auckland in an R.N.Z.A.F. aircraft on December 7. They will travel from Sydney in a Quantas Empire Airways aircraft on the evening of December 8, arriving in Japan on December 10.. Final leave for the main force ends this week. On November 27, K Force will move out of camp on a three-day live-shoot exercise. The Governor-General will visit the force at Waiouru on November 30.
